Two days and counting!

Alright...so this would be my first of many blogs keeping all of you updated as i circle the globe. First things first....here is the list of where i will be going:

Bahammas
Puerto Rico
Brazil
South Africa
Mauritius
India
Malaysia
Vietnam
Hong Kong
China
Japan
Hawaii

Yes it's true...over the next 100 days I will be living on a cruise ship-turned university and sailing around the world. Stoked much? That would be a yes. Now...this isn't just one super vaca, even though i know thats how it looks. however I will be taking classes during my journey while we are at sea...'enriching the mind by both books and experience'...yah..i just made that up, but i like the sound of it. I cannot wait to see the rest of the world...how people live and communicate...different cultures, different view points. To hear about the world is one thing...but to actually see it...will be the experience of my life and I am so blessed to be able to partake in this adventure. For that, I thank my parents for giving me this opportunity and supporting me the whole way through. >>Insert ridiculously bubbly "thanks mom! thanks dad!" with thumbs up and wonderfully large smile here<<.

Now that the intro is over with...here we go...STAGE ONE: PACKING.

"Pack light" is the advice given by any and all who have already experienced this thing I am calling my big adventure. Hmmm ok...pack light...pack light...I will admit that this program is already affecting my life by merely suggesting >>>strongly i might add<< to 'pack light.' I am notorious for my overpacking tendencies...its a bit ridiculous really. I am already on my way to becoming a whole new me because i am determined to NOT overpack this time...I WILL NOT! I am allowing myself one duffel bag and then one of those wheely duffel bags that are the current rage of the moment. It's very small though...I have already dubbed it the "toiletries and other miscellaneous stuff" bag. Then i will also be taking my backpack for the laptop and such, and a messenger bag. I feel like these are the common bags of choice, so here i am jumping into the mainstream of the packing world. It's ok...we don't have to be different all the time people.

So far I have a few of my toiletries in the wheely duffel, some jeans in the big duffel and then everything else exploded into our "good living room"...heh...it looks like a tsunami had its way with that room and left my clothes behind to die, but...its ok. It's my SYSTEM...the only flaw in said system is that I might give my dad a hernia...ehh...it'll all work out.

That's my life as of right now...trying to eliminate un-needed clothing...yet also being irritated at the fact that that SARAH chick suggested bringing only one sweatshirt/hoodie...i think there might be something wrong with her. I live in hoodies...so I want to be bold and bring as many as i want! but then sarah enters my head and messes me all up...meh. This is an inner battle that i must cope with...tragic i know.

Alright..now that I have been officially ridiculous (while amusing myself at the same time i might add) I will leave you to ponder about life...and how many hoodies should be accompanying me on my trip...>>ps this is a plea for advice<<
